Imperial (Stormtrooper) Olympics
All-Con announces a returning event for 2009! The second annual All-Con Imperial Training Camp!
Come and watch competitiors from the 501st's Star Garrison and other regions compete in trials of skill and ability. Nothing says "Good Time" more than watching individuals attempt to accomplish goals while being constrained by their armor or costume.
The 2008 events (last year) were developed around key moments during the Saga. Costumed Olympians of the 501st were seen competing in:
Capture the Queen (Nerf vs. Lightsaber)
Wipe Them Out. All of Them. (Nerf Repeater vs. Gungans)
Jedi Attack! (Jango / Nerf Rockets vs. Obi-Wan / Lightsaber)
Order 66 (8 Different Firearms vs. 21 Jedi Masters)
Minuteman Trooper (Stormtrooper Quick Dresss)
Only Imperial Troops Could Be This Precise (Ball Blasters vs. Sandcrawler)
Set Weapons for Stun (Stormtroopers vs. Leia / lasertag)
Hoth Attack (Stomping AT-ATs vs. Rebel Snowspeeders)
Speederbike Chase (Sawhorse Speeders on Casters vs. Obstacle Course with Targets)
The new 2009 Imperial Training Camp is Friday March 13th. Only costumed members with valid 501st operating numbers may take to the field, but the public is encouraged to come witness the Saga as it has never been represented before.
